The official structure matters because useful preparation must match the pathway, language and scoring rules that apply to the candidate.

Run a diagnostic before choosing a study timetable

Complete 25 mixed questions without notes. Record accuracy, average time and the reason for each error. Below 55% suggests that coverage and retrieval should come before full mocks. Between 55% and 70% calls for targeted chapter work. Above 70% shifts the priority toward unseen papers, pacing and stability.

For Dual, run separate diagnostics for Conventional and Shariah. The lower section controls the initial plan because both sections must meet their own threshold.

Four common traps

• Reading explanations passively instead of reproducing the corrected rule.
• Repeating the same paper until memory inflates the score.
• Ignoring lower-confidence correct answers, which can become future mistakes.
• Leaving registration, language or delivery checks until the final week.

A strong review includes incorrect answers and correct guesses. Confidence calibration matters because a guessed answer does not yet represent reliable knowledge.

Evidence that you are ready

You can finish inside 120 minutes, explain your answer before reading the options, keep every major chapter above the pass standard and score safely above 50% on at least three unseen papers. Readiness is a pattern, not a feeling after one good session.
